WHAT A FELLOW CHAPTER HAD TO SAY
“Janine Stange was an incredible keynote speaker for LeadingAge South Carolina. She brought a message that felt real, relevant, and easy for our audience to connect with. What really stood out was how naturally she tied in our theme—it truly felt created specifically for us.
The response from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. People kept saying her talk was exactly what they needed to hear. She brought incredible energy, connected deeply with the room, and helped set the tone for the entire event.
She was also wonderful to work with behind the scenes. Throughout the planning process, Janine was communicative, thoughtful, professional, and genuinely invested in making the event successful.
I’d absolutely recommend Janine to any LeadingAge organization looking for a speaker who will connect with their audience and make a lasting impact.
— Beth Bouknight, Director of Education, LeadingAge South Carolina
FIRST CLASS CARE: THE POWER OF NOW
In aging services, the smallest moments often become the most meaningful ones.
The way we communicate, respond, listen, and show up each day shapes the experience residents and families carry with them long after an interaction ends.
In environments where emotions run high and demands constantly compete for attention, it’s easy to move quickly while losing connection to the moment right in front of us.
This keynote helps aging services professionals slow down, reconnect to purpose, and make clearer, more intentional decisions—even during difficult or emotionally charged situations.
Grounded in Janine Stange’s practical 4-step DROP Method (Decompress, Reckon, Observe, Promise), attendees leave with immediately applicable tools to strengthen communication, reduce reactive responses, and create more meaningful moments of care.
WHAT THIS SESSION DELIVERS
A practical framework for making clearer decisions under pressure
Tools to communicate more effectively in emotional situations
Strategies to stay present instead of reactive
Greater confidence navigating difficult conversations
Immediate ways to strengthen resident and family experiences
This is not a sit-and-listen keynote.
HOW THIS COMES TO LIFE ON STAGE

Built for Aging Services Professionals
Designed for environments where communication, compassion, and presence directly shape the experience of residents, families, and care teams.
A CAREGIVER’S PERSPECTIVE ON THE MOMENTS PEOPLE NEVER FORGET
Janine Stange’s perspective on caregiving was shaped during her mother’s battle with stage IV breast cancer, where she witnessed firsthand how communication, compassion, and presence impact families during life’s most difficult moments.
From chemo appointments to time spent in a nursing rehabilitation facility and eventually hospice care, she saw the emotional weight carried not only by patients, but by families navigating fear, uncertainty, exhaustion, and grief. Along the way, she experienced how even the smallest interactions—a tone of voice, a few extra moments of patience, a caregiver who truly listened—could completely shape how a family experienced a difficult season of life.
She came to understand that the moments staff may see as routine are often the very moments families remember forever.
That experience reshaped her understanding of what it means to truly show up for others under pressure.
Inspired in part by her mother’s deep respect for those who serve, Janine later launched a mission to perform the National Anthem in all 50 states—honoring military members, veterans, and first responders across the country. The journey gained national media attention and later became the focus of the documentary National Anthem Girl.
She is also the founder of Janine’s Team, a nationwide community dedicated to honoring elderly veterans through personalized birthday and gratitude cards—ensuring their stories, service, and sacrifices are never forgotten.
Today, she brings that perspective to aging services audiences through a practical, repeatable framework that helps professionals communicate clearly, stay present under pressure, and create more meaningful moments of connection, compassion, and care.
